Highland Games

As Scottish as any tin of shortbread, Highland Games will be taking place in various spots throughout the country this summer. The best known are Braemar and Cowal but scores of others allow you to see cabers being tossed, tug-of-wars being fought, pipes being played and traditional dances being performed. You might even be able to get involved in some events.

Opening hours: Summer months May to September

Entrance fee: free
