Cane Garden Bay (Tortola)

Posted by Aruni Madara

Tortola

The center of activity in the BVI is on Tortola, and there, the center of activity is Cane Garden Bay. You'll spend the day at this northwestern beach enjoying the great food (be sure to order an actual "Cheeseburger in Paradise" from Stanley's), renting a day sail or snorkeling around the beach's western edge. At night, Cane Garden Bay doubles as a dance club, as live music wafts from area bars like Quito's Gazebo, Elm or Myett's. Despite the constant activity, recent visitors claim Cane Garden Bay is a relaxing beach. Cane Garden Bay is free at all times of day, any day of the week, with no admission fee.

A long and lovely curved bay that’s sheltered from heavy winds, Cane Garden Bay on Tortola’s north shore is a favoured anchorage for boaters.  Swimming, windsurfing and other water sports attract tourists and BVI residents alike, who also enjoy the lively bars and restaurants that line the beach.

Opening hours: 24 hours

Entrance fee: Free
